Cardwell cruise to the 2010 AGM
The date was set!
The AGM advertised!
The cruise times organised!
And I was running late!!!(well just a little)
So after a late start from Mcdonalds we set off to innisfail to pick up les and some liquid supplies, a good drive down with very little traffic landed us in sunny cardwell by the sea just in time for lunch at the pub.
Dragging ourselves away from the idillyc scenery we headed off to the meeting where we met up with the guys from down south and a very brief catch up before the meeting swung into action.
When the dust had settled we came out the other side with the following
President -Mark Williams
Vice President -Harold Campbell
Secretary -Phil Smith
Treasurer -Graeme Smith
I would like to personally thank the outgoing comitteee and welcome the new comittee.

After the meeting some more chit chat ensued before those in for a quiet night jumped in their cars and headed home allowing the party animals to venture on into the night.

A good drive home until babinda when the bugs struck!!!grrr
Cheers
Neil

The Atherton Tablelands - A Cooke's Tour - Feb 21, 2010
While the skies on Saturday were looking rather ominous, Squeaker's words to the weather gods seem to have paid off with Sunday dawning with (almost) crystal clear skies.
At the conclusion of the usual leisurely breakfast and coffee at Toscas a quick dash to the Fruit Bat (picking up Cam & Co. along the way...) to form up for the run.
After the obligatory happy snaps all headed off for a clear run to Mt Uncle Distillery.

We arrived just in time to beat the 'cyclists' and scarf down some quick coffees and shakes before forming up for the traditional Cruise Class Photo (somehow managing to block off the entrance to the distillery
).
After everyone seemed to have exhausted all possible angles we again mounted up.
Clear skies and quiet roads welcomed us on the scenic drive from Walkamin to sleepy Tolga on the outskirts of Atherton and right through to Yungaburra.
Seemingly the streets had been prepared for us with most driving straight into parks (except Cam - man where did you go???).
The hungry & thirsty horde descended upon the Yungaburra…Read More
