Agenda items
1. Club registration
2. Discussion on changes to the constitution – The constitution has been in place since the inception of the club in 2003. As the club has evolved and moved forward since then, the constitution may require updating to reflect the way we do business today.
3. Naming of the sub committee positions in each location – e.g. there is only one ‘President’ in the club who runs the executive committee, should the head of the committees in Cairns and Townsville be called ‘Chairperson’.
4. Can the members of the Executive Committee also run the committee in the area where the Executive committee presides? There may be a perception within other areas of the club that the Executive Committee favours that area.

Website shows accomodation at the venue fully booked out over that weekend - has it been reserved for club members or is it every man/woman for themselves?

That page says it is booked out every day for the next hundred years.

You have to ring and book, make sure you tell them you are with the club for the AGM.

I have been trying to ring the resort, no joy.

Rang the mobile number, spoke to the owners. They are on holidays for two weeks, they don't know why the manager they left in charge is not answering the phone.

They have blocked off (the entire resort) the 19th and 20th of August for us, they will be back Monday the 18th of July and will take bookings then, lets try and fill the place so we have it all to ourselves.

You must book individually and they require credit card details to confirm the booking.

Cheers

I used to go there (Bemerside) as a kid. Only 4 or 5 houses and pub. Good locale for photos?

Looks like a fair amount of room to set up for a class photo...

Hey the ute was there when i drove through lol

Those "shops" on left were always abandonned 30yrs ago... used to be 3 rail sidings and a rail station.
House in the middle hidden by trees was where i visited as a kid.
Must have some history behind this area as to why there is a pub and old shops and such a wide street frontage with sealed concrete gutter.
Im guessing it was bigger 40 yrs ago?
but yes heaps of room to park in front of pub.
