Well, the car is now sold pending payment and is more than likely off to victoria.

I’m not normally one to tar everything with the same brush but owning the XR6 has put me off Fords for the time being. Obviously my experiences of spending close to 10g on gearbox/etc is a big factor. Got to the stage where I didn’t have the motivation to do anything with it.

I’m in the market now for possibly a VY/VZ SS ute if I can get a nice unmolested example...or perhaps a little work ute and save the money for a new toy down the track. But if I go with an SS, I’ll come to a cruise =P

Cheers guys.

Was having a good old lurk on these forums seeing what Fords are around for when I head back to sunny FNQ! SOme of you might remember me

Found my build thread – Miss the old BA XR6. But I’ve moved on into this….expect her on Cairns roads in the not too distant future.

ED XR6 Turbo

- Sunroof
- Factory 5 speed w/short shifter
- LSD
- Super lows F – Ultra Low R
- Thermo conversion
- Battery in boot

The goodies:

- Proboost T04Z – 1.00 rear
- FMIC w/3in” hot and cold side piping
- TIAL 38mm external gate w/screamer
- J3 Chip (EL ECU)
- Bosch 42lb injectors
- Walbro 255 internal
- 3in” stainless cat back – 4in” dump pipe

All work done at home! No idea on power figures….Keen to get it into the city and out for some cruises!!

Moving back to cairns Hal? Good stuff, looks like we'll have to do some cruises.

The old girl is dead mate, she met her fate by going head first into a trailer.

The damage doesn't look much but it had bent quite a lot on the inside. Aaron was fully insured so got paid out, he misses the car but will shortly be replacing it with a G6ET :hail:

Sad to see the BA got written off! Had a good life.

G6et will be a huge step up.

Keen for some cruises. Nowhere to cruise over here at all.
