conversion or diversion?

Hi
I hope this post is in the correct place. I have a series 3 auxr8 which is quite modified and also has a supercharger. It cranks out a bit of horsepower and 900ft ponds torque. I also have an xr6 au. I want to swap the leather seats out of the xr6 into the xr8. Is there someone eho knows how to swap out the interior? Also, could I use the drivetrain from the manual xr6 into my sc xr8? Also, is the dif and suspension the same? I want a slid g/box .would manual conversion be good or can I put some sort of hi stall head snapping auto into it?

The interior will just be a straight swap over. No issues there.

As for using the gearbox out of the XR6, it is possible, but you will need to lengthen the input shaft. I'm not sure the bellhousing will bolt up either, so you may need to find one to suit the 302.

Engine bolt patterns are different
What is a "TE50" you ask ....... "well" you know what a GT is - this was the prototype they used for making the GT - Ford took the TE50 and softened it up for the Sunday drivers and called it a "GT"... lol
